PIAA Light install w/high's and low beams!!!
Allright fellas this was cake!!! I had the factory fog's on my truck so when I replaced my bumper with an aftermarket one I ordered some PIAA's for my fog's.. The PIAA's come with a ton of wiring and a switch to turn them on.. We'll I didn't want that I wanted them the same as my stock fog lights!! Soooo with a little help from memers on board here and some thinking (really wasn't that hard especially if I can do it!!!) and some crappy weather today I decided to tackle my dilema... Ok so it took maybe a tops of 30 minutes..
Now I just have to wait for the other two to come in!!!
First thing I did was mount the lights..
After that I ran the PIAA's supplied wiring harness under the truck zip tied it to the frame and over to the driver's side. Where the factory fog light clip was!!
Factory fog clip has a white - power wire and black ground.. Fairly easyy
I used my tester for the obvious.. To make sure which was which!!
THen I ran the wiring up along the wiper fluid bin and removed the top bolt holding the bin on and attached the PIAA relay to that bolt..
Then I connected the white wire(power) to the power feed into the fuse box.. The PIAA's come with a fuse!! and the black wire to the ground just above the battery!!
In this picture you can see the PIAA harness and the white wire attached to the power!!
In this pic is the ground!!
Then I just cut the switch off the PIAA's harness and the connector for the fog lights and connected the two!!
And WOLLA!! WE have lightage!!! Now I can't wait for the other two to come in!!!!
I will take some pic's in the dark when I get a change and when the other's get here!!!
