Performance Question

2006 Dodge CTD Mega-Cab 2WD - Things I have done: torque converter, shift kit, edge juice/attitude w/ hot setting, S&B intake, removed the CAT, Donaldson muffler. What other bolt on stuff can I do to help out. I'm not pulling sleds (never) or going to the track (yet), just playing around. Will adding an intake elbow and intercooler help or would I just be tossing money away? I want to add a turbo someday if it will really make a big change. I would really like to get more power out of it but I don't want to spend several thousand dollars. I would at least like to give some of those ricers a run.

I know you dont want to because it wont help you go any faster but my vote is on AT LEAST a laminated flexplate if not billet, then an input shaft. Much more power and your looking for trouble.

To properly support what you have for fueling now, you need a lift pump and a turbo. The next fueling mod would be an mp-8.

If I do this do I have to change injectors? I don't really want to go that far. Who makes good lift pumps? Will I have to remove the fuel tank to install this?

You dont have to do injectors if you want, airdog makes a nice system but you will either have to pull the bed or the tank so you can install the new draw straw.

The stock intercooler will be good for you. You don't need a bigger one untill you are making some pretty big HP #'s.

Dropping the tank isn't as bad as it sounds. I dreaded it. Once my low fuel light came on, I dropped mine by myself in 15 mins. 1 wire harness, 2 quick connect fuel lines, and the 2 straps. Pretty easy for 1 guy.

Yeah, I'm talking to Dave Georend about a VB, shaft, and flexplate.

I've got the 34/35gal tank. Yours might be the 25, not sure on that, but other than your lift pump being in tank, it would be the same.
