I think I may just go ahead and let them take it. It's been sitting at my buddy's shop for over a month now. If I buy it back, I either have to keep it there and offer them some $ to keep them happy, or I have to move it about an hour south to another friend's property and I don't know if his parents would want it sitting there, even though no one lives on it it is just our camping/riding/shooting land until his parents retire then they're moving into the house that's on it. I am just tired of the whole situation, want my $ and move on.

Well, I have yet to fax the paperwork to let them take it, I am still undecided. I think I may call them in the morning and see if I can talk them into 4500 for buyback, that's the only way I see myself making a worthy profit. Do you have a link to that truck?
Still got it, the tailgate is good no dents that I know of, it's actually debadged except for some adhesive that I wasn't able to finish removing before the accident. It also had a diamond plate top on it that I removed so there's some adhesive strips on it still.

I looked on there, was it the red-ish colored qc/sb that was just about to or already ending? Thing was up to 10k, but it was also much newer and with no known frame damage. Mine apparently has some front end frame damage....

That must have been it... I can't find it now... If you had towing mirrors on yours I'd buy the driver's side....
