You might want to take a look at our brake. It mounts to the turbo and interfaces through the ecm. We are using a solid butterfly valve to build the backpressure which results in better lower RPM braking. Ours also require no maintenance. We use an alumabronze bushing on the brake casting. Pac requires frequent lubrication so the dont seize up.

On my 2007 I find that when the PRXB is on that the TC stay locked longer and the shift points are changed. It acts like the tow haul mode is on.

Lubing the brake every oil change seems pretty simple.

I asked about the BD earlier in the thread, so far no one's offered any advice...

... did you guys with the Pac Brakes look into the BD?

I'm running a shift mounted switch for my Pac brake. When plumbed to the ECU, the warmup, decel, clutch, etc. all act the way they are supposed to. In my opinion the Pac is the best. My dad has the Jacobs on his 06 auto and it works great too but it's vacuum so he doesn't have the ability to add air horns, air up tires or whatever else you can do with a compressor. On the plus side the Jacobs is much quiter in operation. As far as the install goes, the new cast elbow goes right in place of the stocker and is no more a pain than putting on an exhaust system. It takes two sets of hands. I had about 4 hours total in mine when all was said and done.

God knows everyone here hates a noisy truck! I just HATE that turbo whistle too!!

More noise, all the more reason for the Pac Brake!
