I think you are going to find you need the kind that look like pants... The Waist of the pantyhose goes over your filter, (Your filter goes inside like it is wearing the pantyhose.) then you tie the legs in a knot at the top, (I usually tie them together right over the cotton crotch thing) and cut the legs off. You do not want to overstretch them to get them on the filter, like I said, I use the QUEEN size on my filters...

Mama would have to be a REALLY big gal to use ankle high ones!

Some sort of filter protection is nice. A couple days after installing my filter set up I was called in to 'rescue' a budy who got his 2wd Dakota stuck in the mud. Anyway, while splashing around to get back to him my filter got covered in mud and water. Wish I woulda atleast wraped some panty hose around it lol.

I ask Mama for a pair of her pantyhose (White), and it works, I was able to get the filter down to the toe, (and Mama isn't a BIG gal at all), (but it would of helped). Just watch how your Mama puts them on, rolls them up in her hands and starts with the toes, very easy to do. Then I just cut them about a inch longer than the filter.

Then I let that 1 inch slide back so there was only about 1/4" - 1/8" over hang, slipped the filter on the air tube, that 1/4" - 1/8" rolled in under the rim of the filter as I pushed it on, clamped it and you can see, very neat job, Thanks for the advise.

Personally, I like the old school nylons with the dark strip up the back, now that would be HOT.

LOL! My wife already thinks I'm Gay for my truck. If I put nylons on my air filter then she will be expecting me to put some lipstick on the grill next......

AlCorr, that looks really good... kinda matches the color of your air cleaner tube.

I'll have to get a pic of my "pre-filter" now...

Dodgezilla, someone needs some "Extra Attention" and it's NOT your truck...

Just make sure you stay away from the exhaust pipe..

Just were do I find a pair of nylons to fit over my BHAF? You think Rosie O'donnell will let me have a pair?

Ouch!!! We don't have that kind of relationship Cincy! I was going to make a joke but it's best kept to myself.... LOL

Has anybody tried spraying some water on theirs to see if the nylons are water resistant at all?

Grocery store or Wal-Mart. Look for the Queen size pant style. They will fit over a BHAF. Put them over your filter as I outlined in a previous post.
