you really need to bring some of your toys down here to summit point raceway for some high speed fun. lets see optimus, the lambo, and a good long straightaway on the racetrack..... hmmm the possibilities.

i guess everyone is entitiled to thier opinion on looks and what is practical, but to me that thing looks ridiculous,it looks like the dodge version of a ricer with, some ricers have a ridiculous wing or wheels that are way to large for the size of the vehicle, its only my opinion but i think the dodges shouldnt have anything bigger than a 19"wheel,anything else looks just silly, like a cartoon truck

I reread the post and didnt see your actual numbers. How hot we talkin? I cruise at 75-80 and between 750-900 depending on grade. When I tow I stay at around 1100 with decsent weight and probable 1300 on a bigger hill.

I remember at one time you ran an A2K over an A5K right? Or was it an A3K. I need to check out your page again but I would assume that might give you some heat. I know ATS killed the 2000 a while back.

summit point is in wva on the va, md, wva line area. just east of winchester va and just south of charlstown wva. www.summitpoint-raceway.com the front straight on the main track is 2900 feet with turn 10 being @ 100-110mph if you are hussling. i think the overall track record was done in a toyota atlantic car at 1:09.xx but a motorcycle just set a bike record of 1:11.78 this past weekend. they have scca and other car club races there as well as the ferrari club and others. the wife's boss takes his ferrari out there a couple of times a year for track days. he loves it.

I think its looks pretty awesome, but a tad overdone in the futuristic dept for my liking.

However since it is Optimus and a bit futuristic........

Why no Spy Racer type gadgets? I know you have the smoke screen, turbo, but no oil spill or guns mounted? There better be at least one gun or rocket mounted for $250k! Is there at least a grenade despencer or an automatic hot chick finder?

Thats your problem right there. Your egt's will be just fine if you drop in into 5th towing up the long grades.

I have to drop my truck down to 5th with an empty trailer on a 7% grade just to keep my egt under 1250 and that's on a stock truck w/ Silverbullet, Smarty and 35's. When I put the 40" swampers on my egt's went up 150'.

Your putting to much of a load on your engine towing up a grade with Optimus in 6th gear. Load = Heat

There's no shame in dropping a gear to keep it cool. The main reason for all this heat is your tires. I bet if you put the stockers back on your egt's would be under 1100' even on the longest grades.

6th gear in Optimus is more like 7th gear on a stock truck. What's your rpm at a true 65mph.....? 1600

1800 is 75 MPH.

@ 70 in 5th, I am @ 2000RPM and I seem to be around 1150-1200° It seems to stay the same on the flats as it does on any hills.

I think you are right; the wheels have added a lot of "load" to the truck and I must gear down to compensate.

I probbaly have what would be 8th gear on a stock truck.

And I am now running the A3k/A5K combo after my A2K decided to dump oil everywhere awhile back!

Sweet ride, I would think a set of gears would make a HUGE difference for you. When was the last time you pulled 3000 RPM in 6th gear?

Here you go, David. Someone mentioned something about the spike covers. Yeah, you need them in black. They would look even sweeter on your truck than mine. The rear spikes don't look as long, but they are the same length as the front ones.
