Opies Mitusa mechanical fuel pump??!!...
Ok, I think I've decided I'm ordering one for each truck I have, I am wondering though will it pull fuel through a CAT 2 micron filter? I wanna pull the fuel through it before going through the pump. And also wondering who has it and what ya'll think about it. I also need his number if someone can pm me. Thanks guys! Anything else I should know about this setup? Does it replace the lines and banjo bolts between stock filter and cp3? Thanks!

Sweet, thanks guys. Now I just need his number lol. It either does away with the in tank pump, or the pump is off and the diesel sucked through the pump. I'm not sure which. So far it's sounding like a better thing than a fass. Not sure.

PM sent.
i have the MITUSA and have had it for about a year now. went thru a really cold winter without a single issue. install was easy, but time consuming as i had never done it before. the original pump he sent started leaking after a couple months, but he sent me a new one no questions asked after ensuring some basic troubleshooting had already been done. the replacement has been fine so far. only other problem i have is my gasket now seeps oil slowly at the front where the bolts had to be R&R'd to mount the pump bracket. it may have been my fault here though as i filled each hole (3) with black RTV and then threaded the new bolts in - as opposed to just coating each bolt. it now slowly leaks, and i am unable to get the bolts out now with an allen key or allen bit without stripping the bolt head. it's not a terrible leak, not too worried about it, but it would be nice if it wasn't there.
i will be pulling fuel thru a couple filters this summer when i re-route my setup. asked the man (opie) himself about pulling fuel thru the filters with the pump and it is really a non-issue. only thing is it will be tougher to prime on filter changes, but really not a big deal at all, and the filter can be filled prior to spinning on anyway. i am currently running the stock filter with a cat 2 micron, but will be removing the stock filter housing this summer and replacing with some spin-ons.
i removed the stock lift pump and have NOT had any starting issue or low pressure issues on initial startup. the pump builds pressure as soon as it starts turning with the starter. remove the stocker and forget about it. makes for a super simple install compared the fuel boss from GDP.

It's a nice kit. I have mine pulling through a 10 mic and pushing through a 2 mic. You will need to eliminate the in tank pump if you have one. All I have is his e mail if you need it.

Hello Jordan5687,
It is a Jeep Liberty fuel canister in the tank. It is basically identical to 3rd gen canisters but does not have the pump in there. That makes it easier to modify for adding aftermarket lift pumps on the trucks. Do a search and lots of great info with part numbers.
