I would go back to "square one" if I were you! Take that Edge off, along with any other accessories you have installed (like the "****** Whistler") and then re-check those EGT's before you go any further! You may have other problems you are not aware of. I would not think that the exhaust is causing you any problems though.

Good luck.

He can't check the EGT's with out the Attitude as he does not have regular gauges.

Sorry that wasn't pointed at you, just in general, we all get frusterated over this. I cannot imagine if I didnt have the friends/DTR/knowledge base I have now. When my truck went nuts a few months ago I would have lost it. We'll see what happens here.

So if you plug the wastegate and get more boost you get the lower the egst go? 40psi is safe on a stocker. Maybe not good for it but I doubt it will grenade it. SOunds like it is about normal. 1400 with lower boost, then with plenty of boost u have level egts.

here we go again. READ MY TOPIC LINE! this is the last stage/video before i REMOVE EDGE. edge is coming off and im throwing it away. im serious. i have to get gauges yet. Hooking up a boost gauge will suck because where do i tap a hole? i wanna use bourdon gauge and synflex plastic. i dont wanna use electronic gauge because i wanna rule out my MAP sensor.

You can tap the airhorn or you can get a boost bolt from Geno's Garage. All boost gauges come with plastic tubing.Diesel Manor has package deal on gauges. You still better be figuring out why your not making boost.Theres a good chance this is not Edge related. How come you have not called about the ecm sticker?Simple thing to check, only takes a phone call!

There are so many options it is not even funny and you do not need to tap a hole. Buy a boost bolt and it replaces one of the intake manifold bolts. The top of the bolt is drilled with NPT threads and ready for your tubing to be connected. 99% of all boost gauges are mechanical you can find electronic ones but you have to really look for those and they have their own sending unit and do not even think of using the MAP (which by the way is working fine based on your many threads and details of events).

Google ISSPRO or get some Auto Meter gauges, just go to the SHOP DTR link above, I made it easy this is the link to the gauge page - Auto Meter gauges
