Don, I tow 11K a couple of times a year. I plan on sending you my 2's to be upgraded and at the same time having my GT4202 upgraded to a 4208. Primary should flow approx 110 lbs/min. Would I be able to tow with the 5's or should I limit it to 4's? Will also be installing water injection.

Yes it's an early 04. I just don't want to over do it on injectors and not be able to tow. That's why I went with 2's originally. But I got bit by the bug hard and now the 2's are not enough.
I also thought about upgrading the Smarty to the POD and just dialing down the power when towing. Would this work?

That didn't take long .

So far, we found the 03's and 04's can use a larger injector and continue to make power. After about a 5.1 or so, the 04.5 and up years begin to smoke and not make much more power. Although there are some exceptions and eventually we will have the ability to go larger. Some guys already run a larger injector on the 04.5 and ups, but not much more power is available until we tweak other parameters.
For the 03-04's we have tried up to a 7.5. They are obviously for a max effort engine. NO towng, etc.
The 04.5's usually work well with a 4.3 or so. With single turbos and no water, limit it to a 3.3-3.8, IMO. Some run larger and do well, but I get nervous myself. Things can get toasty and melt racing and pulling without air and water inj.
03-04's can use a 5 or 6 with little driving and towing issues with enough turbo/air. Twins in other words.
There really is no universal size, since turbos, tire size and gear ratio varies so much from truck to truck. Lets not forget altitude either.
