OMG just my luck!
Well i got the truck lifted and as the guy completed the lift and took it to get aligned i find out the axle is BENT! The only way this could have happen was when i got hit 2 years ago in a wreck. Wreckless driver driving on the wrong side of the street going 60 in a 20 mph zone, i pulled out to turn and BAM . Instead of the axle being in 2 degrees it out 2 degrees! The truck always drove straight and i didnt notice unever tire wear because i have my 22" wheels and i have my 315's i change out every few months! Since i got in the accident i put on 20k miles. So i called the insurance and of course they are blaming everything else but the accident My insurance is safeco and im not even goin to say how i feel about them .
My only hope now is to find a junkyard truck that was hit in the rear
Like i said the truck drives straight but the truck is going to eat tires and everything up from will wear pre maturly.

That does suck. If your looking for a junk yard truck to replace the front axle, see if a company such as dyna track, or American axle can try to bend the tube back, or maybe rework the housing?? Problably won't be cheaper than a used axle or what not, but at least you know it's going to be good once in your truck (how can you tell the axles not bent in a junk yard?? Hope ya get it fixed.

Yeah i am very sick to my stomach, The Insurance guy says if the axle was bent the truck would have never driven straight.. WRONG! the truck drove straight when i got it back didnt pull i could leave my hand off the wheel and it drove perfect, Even now i have the 6" suspension done and it drives perfect but is it really fair i have to deal with uneven tire wear and premature failure of steering, and suspension parts... NO!
My advice is for anyone who gets hit in the front end MAKE sure they check the axle and make sure its not bent.

I remember seeing a front axle in the classifieds a week or so ago. Lots of parts available for these trucks....either big targets or aggressive drivers. ks

How come when the original wreck damage was repaired they didnt catch it?
I know it more than likely is bent, but a second opinion wouldnt hurt if you havent got one yet.
