Ok, Newbie S&b Intake Whistle Inquiry
Ok, people say the AFE oil is good, Has anyone used the S&B. They have a really good price and claim to filter the best. How about the Whistle, may sound silly but I like a lot of Turbo Whistle, How does the S&B sound, anyone used it??? For price they seem to have the best price $195.00 + s&h

I LOVE mine. I still have the silencer ring intact, I'm thinking it would be obnoxious trying to tow this summer with it out.
I bet if you look around you can even do a little better, I got mine for $173 SHIPPED on EBay back in November.
Matter of fact, I've seen then even a few dollars cheaper than that lately.
Look for the ones with "Best Offer" the day after I bought mine someone got one for $170 even (free shipping).
Look in the "offers" section, below the quantity:

A ring that channels incoming air into the turbo. It is commonly removed to allow for more whistle.
I had it out on my old truck, no increase with the stock box, but a huge difference when I added an aftermarket filter.
Sorry I have to say this, but on this one..........do a search.

I had a S&B installed. It's a great intake. It does give turbo whine but, not near as much as an AFE Stage II which is what I changed too. The box is enclosed with a cover where other intakes have more open areas for air flow.
It's pretty much just like the stock box with a bigger cut out on the side.
I only reason I changed is because of the HP's I'm building. I wanted a little more air the flow though the S&B. The S&B filter is big but, has nothing on a AFE.
