NV5600 Problems (Hard to put in any gear)

I know there are a couple other threads up right now similar to this but my symptoms are a little different.

Tranny is extremely hard to get into gear at stop lights. I can hold the clutch in for over a minute and it still won't go into gear sometimes. It doesn't happen at every complete stop but when it does I can hold the clutch forever and it won't go into any of the 6 gears or reverse. I usually end up slamming it into 3rd eventually and slowly taking off.

The transmission might have 20K miles on it. i bought it rebuilt almost exactly a year ago. (one week out of warranty FML) When I installed the rebuilt tranny I also installed the Southbend 3600 dual disc and the upgraded hydraulics. I've had problems from day 1 with this tranny but they've gotten significantly worse in the past week since the drag strip.

Ever since I put this tranny in 3rd gear almost always grinds and reverse always grinds when putting it into gear and now it just doesn't want to go into gear at all.

I've heard its the pilot bearing. I'm open to any and all advice and input. thanks guys.

It sounds like the clutch is not releasing completely...This question might get better answers in the 3rd Gen Powertrain forum......Ben

Thanks for your input. I'll move the thread. Do you have any recommendations or advice on why the clutch might not be releasing?

Om flat ground. Put it in gear hold the clutch pedal to the floor... Rev the engine to 3k or until the truck moves forward. If it moves the clutch is draging.

Adjusting the master cylinder may fix the problem... If you don't have one you can buy one by calling the DTR store or buy contacting Peter with SB.

Mine started dragging slightly after a few thousand miles, and adjusting the master cylinder fixed it. But it sounds like yours is dragging pretty heavy, check it and call Peter if you can't figure it out.

Thank you for the advice. I tried adjusting it this afternoon. It let it all the way out and it helped a little bit but didn't fix it all the way. Just dropped it off at the transmission shop
