NV5600 Blowing lube on clutch
Well I finally got around to putting in my SB Con OFE and when my mechanic took that beast of a tranny off he noticed a small pool of gear lube in the bottom of the bell housing and on futher inspection noticed that the leak was coming from the seal around the input shaft. Back side of clutch totally saturated, no wonder the thing was slipping ..
Funny thing is I took it to the dealer a few months back for oil residue on the bottom of the bell housing. They stated it was normal, and see you later.. Just shows how much effort goes into diagnosis..
Anyway, my mechanic calls dodge to get a seal and they want to sell him the whole housing for $200+ so he calls napa and gets the seal for $15.00. Hopefully it will work.. Anyone have a similar problem and if so what was the fix??
