Banks is not the ONLY intake that is not smooth. I'd ask to speak to someone higher up about the o/ring situation.Their obvisouly having a problem with them.Explain your situation.

Try McMaster Carr. We order all kinds of stuff from them and they have just about anything you could ever think of. I'm sure they would have the right o-ring. $450+ is a ridiculous price to pay for a single o-ring. Another bad mark for the Banks gang.

I have tried to speak to the higher up and I quote(that would take a act of god)
I have decided that tomarow I am going to try to get my money back and invest in a Pac Brake. I will probably just Donate the remander of the exhaust brake to any DTR member.

When you call to cancel tell them you're through with them and are going to another manufacturer. Sometimes that gets things moving and even if it doesn't they still need to hear it.

Cancel your order, rip off that Banks junk and invest in a Pac or BD Brake. At this point, a grapefruit in your tailpipe would serve you better.
Banks "customer service" pi$$ed me off back in '04 when I first started buying stuff for my truck. Just called to ask some questions, and the guy that answered the phone acted like I was wasteing his time and unless I was calling to give him my credit card number, I should just take a flying leap. Something along the lines of "all your questions are answered in every truck magazine out there. we spend a lot of money on advertising so you don't have to call with questions like this " After a 5 minute "discussion", I hung up on the jerk.

WAIT!!!!! Call Banks back and ask for Peter Tridee(I know I misspelled). He is cool to deal with if he still works there. He also wears the pants around there! Tell him a bunch of us(DTR members/TDR members) told you to call him, that way he knows ALOT of us will know the outcome!!!!!!

DTR 1st Sergeant
I have another "hate Banks" story. As everyone can see in my sig I have a six-gun. Now for what it is, it is a quality unit and does as advertised. But what i've come to learn is that it operates just like our Government. By this I mean it wants to control every aspect of your performance, ("life" for govt. speak), do so with warm and fuzzy terms like "safe power" and "protect your tranny and engine" (insert your fav. govt. program here that you overpay for and get little results from), and finally when you get fed up and try to call them, (Banks, Govt, take your pick) you get the bureaucratic runaround, no service and of course the old "well we can maybe help you if you are only willing to pay".
I've come to understand the six-gun and how it plays with others-- or how it really doesn't. It has insidious limits to it (which is why it has so many complicated hookups compared to other boxes-- just like govt hands in your pockets and stupid regulations) like defuel at % tranny slip, defuel at low egts, defuel at low rail pressure (even though it is a pressure box), defuel at 40 psi boost, defuel at 2900 rpms, defuel when Venus and Saturn are visible in the evening sky, defuel when you put the key in the ignition... It is a very good unit though for those that just want to get something and not have to worry about anything else or doing anything with it. (a lot like govt. welfare and housing). So, recently, this issue was pushed up the flagpole all the way to Gale Banks himself about modiying the programs a little to allow folks to lose the defuel perameters and let people do their own policing of engine performance (like gun control [or "six-gun control" in this case]). Basically Gale Banks said (in his best Senator Chuck Schumer-ese) the customers can -- insert your favorite profanity here--
Sorry for
Ok
