No Power... Why?

Today I was driving trh truck and I went WOT to pass someone. The truck went to about 20psi and then it made a sound (like a blow-off valve) and fell on its face with no boost and no pick up. I backed out of the throttle and everytime i try to apply more throttle than barely easing into it, it does the same thing, What should I do??

PS: only mods are in the sig..

Thanx in advance

Hello,

Need to check for boost leaks. Plastic inter cooler tank end rupture, failed connection etc.

Check all your intercooler connections. That sound you heard was probably a boot letting go, so it won't build any boost.

Agree with the rest... Sounds like it either slipped a Boost Hose off 1 of the Connections, Popped a Boost Hose or busted the IC...

One of the service schedule functions in these trucks is to check the torque on the clamps for the intake from the turbo through the intercooler to the intake horn. This happened to my BILaw on his modded 98 24V whilst pulling a 16k trailer uphill in Alaska. He couldn't even hardly move the whole setup and got the trailer and truck towed. They re-installed the boost hose connection, retirghtened the clamps and away he went. Hope this is what you have as it is less expensive than the IC replacement.

He has got the aluminum intercooler since it is an 04.5. Sounds like a boot.
