Nitrous questions

I am trying to learn a little more about nitrous, and I am hoping that some of you pro nitrous guys can help me out.

I have a nx express diesel stacker kit that I am thinking about putting on. It is a basic on or off kit, one stage 50 hp shot.

My questions are,, how do you increase the hp on this kit, (it looks like the shot is controlled totally by the solenoid, I dont see any nozzles)? And is anyone running this kit?

hmmm, I dont know if this helps but...My friend has nitrous that is controlled by a progressive controler and their is no jet (on his). He controls it with the controler by how much percentage it puts out. You said yours is either on or off so I would guess you would need to change jets

I researched this kit recently. I don't see any jets and they don't explain very much on the site. Seems like it's just a small shot of NOS that is limited by the size of the line and solenoid...?
I really don't understand how anyone can say 50hp when it comes to nitrous and diesel. If you are underfueled, you won't gain anything. If you are way overfueled you should make more that 50hp easily. I guess they're taking a middle road because of so many variables.

when you say "way underfueled" why would it make more power than just "underfueled"?

btw, where are you guys mounting the nozzles for the nitrous setups?

If you are underfueled there is no extra diesel fuel for the nitrous to burn off. If you are overfueled the nitrous will burn off the extra fuel that would have been black smoke and you will gain hp from the extra fuel being burnt. Hope this helps

Best place to inject the NO2 is pre-CAC

kevin, that is where mine will be going...intake mainfold. Let the CAC do its job, and cool the intake charge with the nitrous in the horn!!

Thats the way barry told me he is gonna set mine up anyways!!

If you really want some power put one stage of nitrous pre-intercooler and one stage in the intake...

The kit has a nozzle for aspiration, but the solenoid will only flow so much NOS. If you put a bigger solenoid it will up the flow and hp, that is where you would want to use different jets for tuning, but the solenoid in the NX stacker kit is small enough to not need different jets.

so if I put in a bigger solenoid, it would be the same as bigger jets? Forgive me for being a little dumb here, I just dont want to go and screw things up

If you put in a bigger flowing solenoid, you're going to need jets to control nitrous flow. Yes it would be SIMILAR to bigger jets but I think it would be TOO large and you would need jets to regulate the no.

Ok,, so what would I need then,, a bigger solenoid, and some form of nozzle? I have alot of fuel so I am not too worried about that

Yes but I would contact the manufacturor or whoever you bought the kit from to make sure you get the right stuff. It's been awhile since I played with the spray.
