The Westin bars are 3" also. Except for the ovals.

Here is how the Westins fasten....
The bolts replace the stock cab bolts but they are longer to accommodate the bracket for the bars.
Here is a pic of the front fastener. The rear is similar and then there is also a diagonal brace near the rear one as well.

I got mine off Ebay 4120 Plus shipping
Black powdercoat, went on real easy. The proof will be what they looklike in 5 years.
I agree Nerf Bars don't protect from debris. Maybe I can weld some diamond plate across the bottom

Nerf's that protect the paint too???
Here are some that protect the paint and come 3" pic is of a Ford but they look better on the Dodge....
These are the one's I am putting on my new 04.... Hmmmm Should I update my sig?

The Ebay ones attache like the Westin. They have a welded box that attaches vai a replace/ extended bodybolt. and a Cross strutt that goes to the inside of the body
