Maybe they are all installed that way, I'd like to know. It just doesn't seem like two bolts in the end of the entire nerf bar would be all that strong.

also, I see that they are 3 inch bars, are some 4 inch? What is Westin?
The bolts holding the bar on is big, I don't remember exactly but I think it's a 19mm.
The Westin bars are 3" also. Except for the ovals.

Here is how the Westins fasten....
The bolts replace the stock cab bolts but they are longer to accommodate the bracket for the bars.
Here is a pic of the front fastener. The rear is similar and then there is also a diagonal brace near the rear one as well.

I got mine off Ebay 4120 Plus shipping

Black powdercoat, went on real easy. The proof will be what they looklike in 5 years.

I agree Nerf Bars don't protect from debris. Maybe I can weld some diamond plate across the bottom

Happy holidays

The Ebay ones attache like the Westin. They have a welded box that attaches vai a replace/ extended bodybolt. and a Cross strutt that goes to the inside of the body

The 3" pipe running boards retail for 599.00 and yes they are 100% stainless. I am not sure what the cost is on the smaller diameter pipe ones are but I would expect them to be in that range.

If you cruise their site they have several styles to choose from and also a way to find a dealer near you.
