Newbie ? for 05 and juice/attitude.

Hi, As you can tell I am new to the forum and have a few questions for all you experts.

I recently purchased an 05 CTD auto and was wondering about putting the edge juice/attitude on it. Is the stock 4" exhaust suffecient enough? I put an afe air filter in place of the stock, is that suffecient enough or will I absolutely have to go to the proguard? What temps are you all seeing and what is safe? With the attitude egt gauge I think they mount the sensor right at the manifold so what is to be expected for temps? My friend has one of his he is see around 500* at cruising and 1100* when on it hard. I dont really plan on running over the third level at all due to the fact I want my tranny to last.

Also I pull a 7x28 foot enclosed snowmobile trailer.

Thanx for all the help.

P.S. Is $800 good for the juice/attitude with the special A-pillar all installed?

The juice with attitude is made to safely work with all stock components. It will defuel when it sees high EGT's so you will not burn up your truck. Your stock exhaust is sufficient, and an AFE filter is fine. You will see temps over 1200* for sure in the summertime which is fine. I've seen a stock 05 w/ 6 spd hit 1300 when towing heavy. And for sure $800 is a deal, (heck its no deal its a steal )

Thanx guys.

I just ordered it this morning after reading about 40 pages on it last night. They are charging me $750 for the juice/attitude/a-pillar mount and $50 for the installation. I dont ever plan on running any setting higher then 3, that way I can stay clear of all problems that may arise.

Now that's funny - you don't 'plan' on going over level 3. We've heard that one before Before you know it you'll have a performance transmission and twins

Yea, I dont ever plan on pushing the up arrow, but just have this thing about ricers. Banks 5" polished tip points dead in the middle of the Honda, Subaru, ricer driver side window. Shame on 'em if they try to sneak by on that side.
