Newbe performance questions

Ok I can't leave it untouched any longer. I want to ad a programer like a Edge or a Quad x2. Will a stock clutch hold an extra 100 hp? Will that overwork the stock fuel pump? I'm not looking for massive power just something to wake it up a bit. What would be good to start out with? Also where should I install the pyro probe? I'm sure that I read on here it should as far back as possible because #6 gets the hotest, but I can't confirm that.

The stock clutch can't hold jack...but if you're sensible you can make it hold up to 100hp for awhile. A clutch will be sooner in your future though. Edge or Quad would work, Smarty Jr is also a good choice, and any of them will get you what you're looking for. Fuel pump will work but not for anymore than that or it will be falling behind.

You're right on the pyro, you want to be on the collector closest to the 5-6 cylinder.

Geeez Rick, you must be hard on clutches....

Running the SMARTY @ 100+ hp for almost three years now with the stock clutch. So far so good.

I have heavy feet. Actually with the 4.3 I don't have to have a lead foot, its just so powerful right at the start. But at least I said it can be done if you drive sensible.
