Hump,
Can you tell me what the load range is for your tires? I was thinking of getting that exact same tire size. I would like to stay with load range E (10 ply), but some sizes those are hard to find. And if it's not too rude, what did the tires cost? Excuse me ahead of time if that's too rude.

I just put those same tires on my truck, on Monday. The BFG TA KO tires in 285/70/17 are "D" rated tires. They have the same capacity rating as the Stock 265 "E" rated BFG Rugged Trails which I believe is 3195lbs each.
They also have something special about the sidewalls...."Triguard" or something like that makes them stiffer than normal "D" tires. I really like mine so far and they fit the truck perfect. Not to big. Not to small.
I paid 200 dollars a piece plus 10 dollars to mount and balance at Discount Tire. They also rotate and fix flats for free and included the road warranty.

Thanks TexasCTD. I'll have to look into those. I really want them right away but it's hard to do when my stock tires are still brand new. Maybe I should try to sell them to someone so I can get the tires I want

Discount Tire gave me 200 dollars trade in on the 4 used 28,700 mile tires, plus new spare. I went ahead and replaced my spare tire too....so I bought 5 tires.
You may can get more for yours since they are almost new. Good luck.

The information that TexasCTD provided regarding the 285/70/17 BFG's is rite on the money
However I purchased my tires online from TheTireRack.com for $180 a piece and that included shipping to my door step. Then took them to a local shop and had them installed for $40 bucks . Grand total for tires and install was around $780.00 Not too bad IMO
