Once and a while I can get my Beta 4.2 to pop at high rpm at the top of 3rd gear. Not sure what that is all about? But This tune is great, I also would like to switch to TNT. I tried it once and Popping was bad. The 4.2 is a awsome tune but a little touchy down low.

Does anyone know if we can go back to the beta 4.2/4.3/4.4 if we try this new TNT? I don't want to get caught in that one again. I love 4.2/4.3, but would like to try the TNT to see if maybe the popping is gone.

It would be nice if the popping was gone. With my 03/04 running TNT-R, I either have to choose from surging/popping or HEAT!
...basically if I run an odd lvl with timing I get surging/popping, if I run the even numbers it goes away but the EGT gauge goes redline!

Ron if your talking about loading back and forth on your 04, you will be fine, I have been able to go back and forth but like you have stuck with the betas. Its the 04.5 and up that can't seem to go back still.

BBRam on Cummins forum had this happen with his 03, it's the main reason I have not loaded my TNTR yet. These older programs do not have the latest Chrysler flashes, that why they are not recognized once upgraded to the newer software.
Rip 112, I am getting conflicting reports from 03/04 owners, you are stating that you can load the latest Mads software, and still go back to the beta's?
I have also read that if you load a Bully Dog tune, between the old and new Smarty software, then it will take.
I am not being confrontational here, I finally got my original TNT software tuned on my 03, and I can go back to the beta's 411, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4.
I would be quite disapointed to load the TNTR, have it behave badly, and not be able to go back. Jess

Nah you may be right, I havent loaded any TNT program in over a yr since the problems kept occurring. That may be the case now, but i was under the impression that it was an 04.5-07 computer thing that made it that way. Wish Bob came on here like he used to.
Even if it was 2 words. Don't even see anybody around anymore. Kinda sad.

BBRam told me his new TNTR software, even the new beta's, just are not the same as the originals. I have this new TNTR_57 tune Bob sent me right before Christmas 2009, and I am afraid to load it.....

After hearing that its sealed the deal. Just gonna stick to the original betas and old tq management programs. I don't need all that adj stuff, I personally thought Marco had those programs tuned very nicely. I guess I can understand the adjustability of the newer stuff, just don't want to lose the good ol days.
