Been here a while, just lurking.

I have the truck in my sig, and had a couple questions. I was thinking of going to an AFE cai. I now have a stock replacement K&N and a piece of 5" exhaust pipe where the "restrictor" tube was. Is it worth it, or is what I have good enough? Also, Is there any thing to be gained from removing the silencer ring? Or just noise? Are there any other cheap/free mods that I need to know about?

the silencer ring will only give you more turbo whistle no performance but if you want to mod it you got to pay to play the best thing would probably be the smarty tuner as for the intake there isnt a lot to be gained you can cut a hole in the air box and attach a piece of draintile so it sucks cold air a lot of guys do that its good for 450 horse or so. banks also makes a nice sealed kit it all depends on what you want to do wit the truck

Not looking to change programmers now. I like the power. Just wanted to know about some cheaper stuff to see what I can get. I got alot of toys, and this just pulls them around. Not looking to make it another that needs to be hauled...lol

There's no cheap free mods on the newer trucks, not like my 92' W250 12 valve...
