Hey all...

Just updated my signature with new mods that are on the way. I need some more input regarding the following.

1) Chips and Programmers - I'm thinkin' about junking the TST R37 in favor of an R49 w/ timing a pressure control. I'm also thinking about upgrading the Crazy Larry to Scarry Larry. Should I get a different pressure box or does the TST do a sufficient job? You guys have any feelings on this stack combo? Should I change to some other programmers or boxes?

2) Head Studs - Should I go ahead and do head studs? If I do the studs is there anything else I should do while I'm here? New Head gasket? Etc? My truck has seen some pretty retarded boost levels for a stock gasket and bolts. (I've seen a spike or 2 around 50 PSI.. OUCH!) Also.. Truck has 50K Miles on it now.

3) With these mods am I ready for any type of power adder? Nitrous or Water/Methanol.. Kind of leaning toward Water/Methanol as I could use it for towing.

4) Anything else I should do to this truck while I'm at it.. After buying the Trans, Turbo, Injectors and Injection Pump I've still got about 9K to spend on mods for my truck. My truck HAS to stay reliable though.. So keep that in mind.

 

The 13.83 was before the cp3 injectors and turbo i hope?

 

Not to hijack but, have you pulled with the 64/14 turbo? I was thinking about upgrading from the 62 but wanted to know if you get surging.

 

Yeah.. The 13.83 was with nothing more than the BDDL TST stack, Straight Pipe Exhaust and the Cold Air.

Haven't even bolted the new mods on yet. So I can't tell you whether this turbo will surge while towing.. I told everybody I talked to about what I was going to use this turbo for and they said it should be alright. So we'll see.
