Hey guys,

Its been a long 3 years with no diesel truck for me. My previous truck was an 05 that i built and loved to drive (560/1300). Well this 2004 comes to me with the Banks 6 gun and IQ, Banks Brake, the Banks Lockup controller and intake horn. I HAVE to get emissions done on the truck ASAP and need to know if I can simply unplug the OBD II for th tech to take the reading. He doesnt care that all the stuff is on the truck, but has to be able to connect to the OBD II and run the truck for a few minutes...from what I gather.

Have you tried unplugging it at home to see if it will run? I'd think it will be fine?? I'm not sure though......no tuners or anything on mine yet.

Not yet, its still at the PO's house. I am picking it up and going straight to the inspection center. I guess if I have to I could disconnect all the connections under the hood and just go stock. Thanks though.

Call Banks. I was under the impression that their products were ok for most states.

Got the inspection done, all is well! No emissions test, just a basic safety inspection.

Banks advertises that there stuff is 50 state legal, I would hope if it is installed properly it would pass. Banks makes some good stuff, its the price that everyone hates.

The issue was I didn't know if I needed to remove the 6 gun so the guy could hook up to the OBD II. Needless to say, all is well. There is a LOT of banks on this truck, most will stay, but the 6 gun is going away immediately!

banks emissions are pretty low. Also you should be able to unplug it from the banks palm pilot to turn it off
