New Interco VorTrac's

I have been looking into my next set of tires, and was unsure about these. But, if they are getting good reviews from real world people, they can't be all bad.
You say the 35x12.5x17 is rated at 3640 pound with a load range E. 4wheelparts states that tire to be 3640 but D?

I was talking to the Interco folks at an offroad expo we had down here in Hammond, La. a few weeks ago. I asked what kind of responses they were getting about these on our trucks. The rep says he's been getting reports of 40K miles + on these. For the price, ya just can't beat it.

On a few of Interco's tires, they have 10 ply rating, but low lb loading. You have to be watchful... they can have 10 plys but have a load rating that is common for load range D.

Got about 15K on them now and holding up pretty well. Took a trip to Idaho this summer and put some long road miles on them and they are still flat, no cupping, or other concerns. Just about 40% wear in 15k and I drive it pretty hard unloaded.
So far I'm satisfied.

www.treadepot.com. 35-12.50-17's are $316 to your door. I've got a local place that'll do $1330 otd w/rotation,balance and flat repair. I like the Vortrac's size and tread, just wish they were still at $216. Toyo need to release an "E" rated AT. The MT is overkill for me w/10" of rain annually here.

I'm with you, my truck spends most it's time on the road, be it paved, gravel or dirt. I rarely get into a situation where I'd need a full out mud tire. But I'm thru with anything but an "E" rated tire. The pro-comps were nice at first but overtime the sidewalls became soft I guess is the right word.

Yeah I got mine before the increase. Probably wouldn't buy them now since there are a lot of good tires at or near the higher price.
Based on the load of lead I had to add to balance I'll spend a little more for the tires next time and hope to get the big weights off the wheels.
Don't get me wrong though for just over $800 buck they were a deal. The key is "were"
