Wow, maybe while my truck is up on their rack I will have them swap out my Silver 66 (yes on their rack right now-ruined a cylinder and Justin is going to have to rebuild my motor) might as well switch, right. J/k my wife is already going to leave me when I show her the bill for the rebuild...

There are several members that are running the A5K for pulling/daily driving, which is a ATS version of the K31.

But the regular K31 exhaust housing is way to big to spool.

I'm amazed at what people are willing to pay for a modded turbo!!! The K31 is a $750 turbo. A modded exhaust housing is $450 with out a gate and you can get someone else to provide a gated housing for maybe $600 or you can put on a controllable external waste gate for $250. This really isn't rocket science. People are just trying to cram as big a turbo as possible to meet the 2.8 inducer rule for sledpulling. KS

My truck is getting set up for a straight up pulling truck within the next month or so. What do you guys think would be the best turbo for the truck? I'm upgrading my injectors to Flux 3 or 3.5, doing the Stage 3 cp3 or dual cp3s, smarty, cam, and springs.
I want the best turbo for the $ and that will be big enough to handle the fuel that I'll be throwing at it.

you put that thing through hell, though, and it lived suprisingly long.

I would but a Aurora 5000 over a Silver Bullet in a heartbeat

No wastegate = high EGT????? Um...no unless you are pushing big big fuel. Then you can plumb and external wastegate or use a larger exhaust housing for it. To not push it off its MAP.

The A5k is a beast in the "center section department" compared to any S-300 base turbo.

For a budget high hp build or where a single is mandated...A5K is the choice
