yes it would. I fully agree with that. if my truck was a manual it would be alot of fun like you said to get the rpm. lots of guys around here run the A5k to sled pull with and do really good on the stick trucks. alot of the d-max guys run them also and do good also. I think for the money its the best turbo out there for competition buts thats just my opinion. for what I do I like mine
