Talking New Glacier Diesel Fuel System Installed

My install was just finished today on my new Glacier Diesel Fuel System. Sweet!! Richard had everything we needed. It's shimmed out to 55psi at idle and II tells me I needed 50 to 58psi for their Lvl 2 CP3 that I recently installed. I decided to make the jump to the Glacier system since my FASS 150 wasn't close to the needed psi and I didn't want to spend the $$$ to go to their 200gph and still be short of the cited goal above for psi needed. Got a FASS 150 for someone,..... & more.

Sweet deal! I am loving my Glacier kit. I have had mine pushing about 48psi for the last few months with no issues at all. Are you still running through the stock filter canister? If so, you might want to get a billet lid as that plastic one won't last long at 55psi

Jeff,

Nope on the stock filter canister. I'm running GDP's Mack Daddy 2micron filter and separate fuel system moisture canister. We (actually my installer) found a better place to place the filters,... just in front of the rear wheel is a cubby that they both fit into perfectly and are totally protected from rocks and such and even off-road can't get to it since it's above frame level,... Sweet!! I also had Richard rig up a low/high pressure valve system which lets me run the 27psi on the street for daily driving and then I have a simple twist valve mounted under the truck located beneath my seat and a simple twist at the track and I've got 54psi!! I just don't care for all that pressure on a consistent basis. My installer also placed a in-line fitting to pop a fuel pressure gauge into to test the pressures as we drive since my gauge is a 30psi unit. That allowed us to validate both my gauge and the actual pressures being run. It's capped off unless I want to re-test for some reason. The in-line also allowed us to see what's happening with the pressure under WOT load. Mine drops right at 10psi which is perfect based on Bret @ II. He liked the idea of the low/high setup, however he runs his on high all the time and to date has had NO problem doing so,... but I personally don't care for it on a consistent basis.

acook,

There's a button on top of that connector that you have to push down to get it off. It's hard to see, so you pretty much have to do it by feel. The button will be a small square on the top side... push that in while you pull the connector off. It's a pain, so good luck!

You slide the red tab (which you've done) and then the button is on top (towards the underside of the bed). It's on the end where the wires go into the connector. Push that button down as you pull the connector away and it will pop right off. Without pushing that button you can tug til you're blue in the face and it won't budge.
