Well, I got rear ended last weekend and the truck is at the body shop till next week. The Jeep Liberty that slid into me is MUCH worse for wear but my bumper, tailgate and left rear quarter took minor damage.
I decided to take the opportunity to replace the rear bumper with a Fab Four's replacement bumper. I have been aching for the upgrade and since my insurance company is helping, I figured it was time. I dropped it off for Line-X right out of the box and it gets installed once the body work is done.
I'll post pics once it is home!

 

Very cool. One of these days I will also change the rear paper thin bumper. I just hope it is when I want to and not get hit like you and others here have gone through.
Are you able to retain your factory hitch? I know some let you and others don't.

 

That is one of the the benefits of the Fab Four's rear bumper, it does retain the factory hitch.

 

That is exactly how I got mine, except the F150 was a total loss and the guy had no insurance! Be sure to have them open up the shackle holes if you plan to use them. They were not designed with a Line-X coating in mind...

I may have to do that, I don't plan to use shackles but I want it to be possible...
