You cant really put any "non-stock" items on a truck and not risk warranty issues. Most dealers never say a word about exhaust or intakes. Do NOT use a K&N (Cummins/Dodge actually published particulate count problems with the K&N several years ago). Use something along the lines of an AFE (my dealer actually sells AFE products). I now use an AFE Drop in with holes cut in the bottom of my stock filter box.

Your 1900 at @60-65 is probably correct. Thats about where mine runs.

thanks for the info guys texas ctd you are right stayed up way to late reading up on all the info on the site after my calgary flames hockey team went down in flames against the ducks in game 7. JThiessen i presume that AFE are a product line of filters? what should a guy do first exhaust or air intakes

Well you really need to do both to get the best results, but I'd start with exhaust because it'll lower EGT's and sound cool But don't buy a complete system since our trucks already have a 4" stainless exhaust. Just replace the stock muffler with something more free-flowing.

Hey Alberta...sorry too see the flames go!!! I was really hoping for a flames/oilers series, as i have tickets to the oilers, and HAD tickets for calgarys second round. Plus i think the oilers had a better chance against the flames...now we play the sharks

As for exhaust/intake mods. I would start with intake. These trucks already have 4" from turbo back! Maybe a better flowing muffler and remove the kitty...that way your not spending money on something you already have!!

id go with bigger tires. dodges come with tiny stock tires and it makes u run more rpms. w/my stock tires with stock 4:11 gears i was runnin 1900 at 60mph. now ive got 35" tires and am only turnin about 16-1700 rpms. looks better and u get little better mpg.
