New Bilstiens = Happier Driver!

I put a set on a couple weeks ago.
Did 800+ miles after that.
It was as big a change as when I went from the Michelin E rated tires to the BFGs. Bumps are still there but no jarring.
Did notice it kinda jumped a little sideways when I went accross the RR tracks today.

Bilsteins says the yellow are the same as the 5100 series internally, the later is for raised trucks and cost more due to longer shocks, I went ahead and bought a set of Yellow HD ones today for 62 a piece, good price, gonna remove the spacer in the rear springs and put the shocks on Friday to level the truck, dont want to raise the front up. just putting on the 285's raised it up, making it harder for this old man to get in

That I will do, I have the perfect test bed to run , it is called Interstate 80 between Vacaville and Vallejo that has the worse washboards highway ever built. I dont mind large potholes.... I can avoid them , but washboards I hate.

Well I change out the shocks to Bilsteins all the way around, WOW what a difference in ride, I wasnt counting on much difference but it is like night and day. it dampens out the jolts, there is a part of I-80 right at I-80 and I-5 that is torn up and rode nicely thru there, the bumps are still there but dampened out very nicely. well worth the trouble and cost. I also moved the springs spacer to the top and lowered the back end down, that has no effect on the ride, but the truck looks better and leveled.
