New BFG 285/70-17's
It was hard to find some good pic's of anyone with 285's so I wanted to let those that are interested know that I have some pic's in my gallery. I like them alot although they probably aren't as "sexy" as the 315's that many others have but I couldn't justify going to those for a number of reasons of which fitting in my garage was on the top of the list.

Thanks Tim. I've received alot more compliments than I thought I would. I had about ten people around it at the car wash the other day giving me compliments on how it looked which was nice.
I gained around 2 inches in height overall and the width is noticeably wider as well.

They are D rated but the lb rating is 3,195 lbs like the stock Michelin's or BFG's. I'm a big fan of Michelin tires and I really toiled keeping them on but with the 3 ply sidewalls the BFG's provide plenty of sidewall support and the quality of the ride is far beyond my expectation. I had a local Goodyear shop roadforce balance them just to be sure they were balanced correctly from the outset and they are every bit as smooth as the Michelin's were and suprisingly the road noise at highway speeds is perhaps a hair above the stock tires as well.
I use to have a set of the original style BFG AT's on a Toyota about 7 years ago and boy have these AT KO's come a long way since then...light years ahead of what they used to be (and they were good tires back then).
