New Ats Twins
Just went buy the shop where I purchased my BD Twins, and the owner of the shop is an ATS dealer and got a new version of their twins. It has the Aurora 5000 primary and a new Aurora 3000 secondary instead of the normal aurora 2000. Able to support over 1000hp. Not for sale yet think he is a beta tester. Setup looks better than my Bd's, I think it just looks cleaner. But never fear BD is comming out with a larger system to compete soon.
They will be done with it today, I will drive buy and see how it runs.
I would run with him and still may, but we wouldnt be comparing apples to apples. Performance he has the same exact upgrades besides the ATS vrs BD twins, but his truck is a 06 mega cab, mine is a dually with a full tool box so I weight at least 1000lbs more than him but what the hell. Guess I will have to call BD and see if they can make me a beta tester of thier bigger twins.

I think you have to look at all the twins set ups that are making over 1000hp. Most of those have turbos meant for freight trains as their bottom turbo and the top turbo is larger than the size of a Aurora 5000/k31. It makes great marketting but I haven't seen any dynos over 1000hp with an off the shelf set of turbos that fit under the hood and use the stock intercooler location. Everyone knows to get a streetable 1000hp you need at least triples. ks

I have heard for the past 6 months(at least) that BD is coming out with a off-the-shelf set of monster twins that will support over 1000hp, yet nothing comes down the pipe. I agree with Kerry on this one, whether it be ATS or BD, NO ONE is going to come out with a set of twins that bolts in under a CTD hood, and uses the factory intercooler, etc, etc and makes 1000hp. it just ain't happening. we still haven't cracked wide open the rail pressure, injectors, and CP3 issues, but with time, money, and patience, I think we will.
just my opinion
