Tires

I got them from America's Tire company. The chain. Like Discount Tire. They too have a bunch of weights around the wheel. Too many to count. Its rediculous. Drives smooth tho. The shop said to bring it in, they'd check air pressure and rebalance them....??? Then if I'm still not happy they'll put something else on there. .....ANY SUGGESTIONS? Toyo's? Tera G? I think I'll go back to the regular size orig bfg's that came on it....

The 285's are smooooth on the road but the tail wag is no bueno. Scary stuff when getting blown around by a big rig heading the opposite way on the 395.

Is your trailer and truck level when hitched up?
Tongue weight OK?
Weight distribution bars? Or are you relying on the airbags for all of your leveling?

I'm running 285/70's D-rated BFG's, so I have a little less sidewall...and my toy hauler is 3 feet shorter than yours. But all loaded up I'm close to 10.5K lbs and I get zero sway.

When it had the stock suspension, I've even towed it home from Johnson Valley to Long Beach without the weight distribution bars (but no Rhino in the trailer), through moderate winds in the desert, and never had an issue with sway.

Seems odd, your truck should be able to handle that trailer rather easily IMHO.

Trailer wag has more to do with weight distribution and tongue weight in my experience, but I still like the E rated tires over D rated tires.

I had the exact tire on my truck. They lasted for 92K miles and they still have a little tread left. I had Discount rotate and rebalance every 10K miles. Never had any issues balancing or towing with em. I would buy them again, no questions asked.

I have the BFG AT KO's but in 285/65/18E and love them. I run 80psi in front and rear while towing, tow 13K lbs of fifth wheel and have had no issues. I also purchased thru the local Discount Tire chain, rotate every 8-10K miles, and they didn't take much to balance. Granted my sidewalls are a little lower than yours, but not much. Have 30K miles on them with plenty of tread left, will get new tires before these are worn out only cause I want to try a different, more aggresive tire.
