New 05 coming to me

Well, tomorrow looks like the big day. I have searched high and low for an 03 and could not find anything. I gave up today and talked to a salesman about a new 05. Told him what I wanted, and what I would pay and he found me one. Getting a light almond SLT quad cab short box with a 6 speed (nv5600) from another dealer in Kentucky. Looks like I will be paying 500 over list, just because they have to go get it, and I'll be getting the 4k in rebates. Leaves me paying around 32k for this truck total. After finding what I could find on 03's for 25k or better I think this is the better deal by far. Anything I should look for before signing the papers? What should I be expected to pay other than taxes? Thanks in advance,

Jason

one thing i was told to look for,(if u plan on bombing) is the intercooler. early 05s had plastic ends where the boost cooler tubes are, they have been known to blow off. its not too crutial but later 05's had metal intercoolers.

it's cool that u found an 05 with a nv5600. when i bought my truck 3 months ago, the dealer only had g56s and they reved too high on the highway for my liking.

concrats on the new rig!

When I was shoping for a truck, I told the dealer to find me a 05 with a 6spd, they laughed and said "there aint no way that I could find a 05 with the 6-spd". They had 2 of them on thier lot.

I will not be bombing mine, maybe a small box later on but nothing big. I have pulled everything I have ever needed to pull with my 97 at basically stock level. All that I have done to it is in my sig, no problems AT ALL.

Yeah, sounds like the same kinda crap I got from local dealers. They tell me the closest one left as I want it is in Kentucky. The closest SLT Laramie is in Missouri. I doubt thats true, but maybe since its almost 06.. Well, I have left a message for the dealer to call me this morning to make sure everything is a go so I will go in this afternoon and buy it if all is well. Thanks for everyone's help with this, its amazing that the dealers on here are FAR more willing to help you knowing they won't get your money than local guys. If I had caught too much more grief over this mess I could have been persuaded to the dark side (DM/Allison) fairly easily.

Jim, I will definately post some pics.
Guys, Jim [sCreamin400] has been a BIG help with my truck shopping. He was willing to help and very knowledgable about the vehicles he sells. Unfortunately we are about 1100 miles apart or I know where I would have bought mine! Thanks Jim.
Also, Thanks again to the rest of you for your help.
