Needed- A few Commander Update Testers

Ok, we have the new update close to being done. We need some feedback. There are still a couple of small things we need to do that we know about but, I want some very nit picky people to give it a drive.

I only want people that have installed an update before and I really need people that have the fuel pressure kit installed. If anyone has analog gauges as well as the Commander that is also very welcome.

Just post here if you want the update. I will do only a couple to start with and we will go from there.

I'd be willing to beta test the update. I have installed one update so far to my commander. No fuel pressure gauge though.

Ok, that should be plenty. There are a couple of small things we already know we need to change a little.

Your feedback will mean a lot. I can tell you right now this gauge is lightning fast actually too fast we are going to slow it down a bit but, feedback is necessary!

thanks for the help.

Okay Quad, I got the update installed and have a couple comments:

1. You're right, its fast! I think the engine coolant temp and tranny temp could be slowed down a bit. It seems the gauge is constantly going back and forth between temps. For instance, if the coolant is around 188* it constantly jumps back and forth between 187*, 188*, and 189*. Similar with tranny temp. No need to be that fast with these readings. EGT speed is probably fine since EGTs move around so much anyway.

2. Button response is great, and I like the new menu system better.

3. The new font is fine, though I'm not sure I'd say I like it better than the old one. Kind of a 6 of one half dozen of the other thing. Either work for me.

I'll keep fooling with it and relay any other comments. Once I get my module harness back from Roark (I had a broken connector) I'll test it with the module. Right now it's running as a stand alone.

Thanks for the continued improvement of an already great product!

Dang!

I missed this thread earlier. I've got my Commander updated with v1.3 AND I have a FP kit. I'd love to beta test for you if you still need testers.

Mine has done this since I installed it. The update did nothing for this but it has never really bothered me. I know the temp jumps around on my truck because my drive is up and down a lot of hills. When I have the 5th wheel in tow the temps stay pretty steady running down the highway.

Basically echoing what the others have said so far....really fast update, especially on the rail pressure!

My preference is the new font.....very nice job on the menu speed!

Prefer the new intro screen too.

Ok, we have the newer update which I have spoken to many of you about. The problem is that we are having trouble uploading stuff to our page right now.

If you guys will send me an email to quad@quadzillapower.com and tell me you have been testing or still want to test this one last time I will email you the update so you can play with it over the weekend.

We are 99.9% certain this will be the actual release so be picky!
