Need your thoughts on a twin set up!
Okay I will soon have all the fuel,water/meth,and nitrous you can push though our common rails . Now im concerned about airflow! I currently have piers towing twins on the truck(hx35 and ht3b). I dont feel these twins will give me all I can get out of the setup. Can I just trade out the 35 for a 40 or maybe another larger turbo like a ps62 or 64?? orrr would it be easier to get a bigger bottom charger?? to replace the 3b?? would alot of modifications have to be done to my plumbing to do this??? just give me your suggestions.
OHH and im not concerned about too much boost i will have oringed heads, fireringed block, studs and a copper head gasket.

im running a setup similar to yours. with the big sticks my egts stay nice and cool. even on a hard 1/4 mile run. do you plan on towing? if not your twins will flow enough air for around town . when the boxes are all turned and full throttle they might be a little on the small side but thats what nos is for. turbo in a blue bottle. you should be fine. you could always get crazy and go super big like a 66/big brother but at this point in the game thats overkill for a cr. changing either charger is gonna take some piping probaly.

it will work just not good. a big brither is overkill imho. remember that 12 valves that flow 600-800 cc's of fuel need a big brother. even with dual cp3s we aint flowing that much fuel. drag racing with a big brother would be tough because when the boost hits its gonna hit hard while staging. not sure footbraking it would work. i would however get an external wastegate for the twins .im putting dual cp3s on my truck and im not touching the turbos. if it gets hot or runs out of air ill use nitrous at the strip. also imho i would not go the oring/firering/copper head gasket route. i take it you plan on running a second gen hg and cutting the water jackets to make it work on a cr? get a good machine shop to cut you some firerings into a mls 3rg gen gasket and be done with it. even without firerings the headgaskets hold well with studs as long as you dont go crazy with timing and create to much cylinder pressure. just make sure the last 2 digits on the gasket are 45.

yeah i will have nitrous to help with boost so i will stick with my twins setup for now. soo you dont think i should firering the block??? just buy that gasket and firering it??? will it be much cheaper than the oring/firering/copper route? the reason i want to go all out is because i will be puttin a really potent nitrous setup along with a lil water/meth so i need all i can get. ohh and where do i get this gasket??

cummins for the gasket. if you have a day or 2 ill give you the part #. my head is off now and im getting ready to order one. is your head true? if its never been off id take it somewhere too get it flat. mine was 4thou out last time it was off.
