ok so here is my question i have a nv5600 in my truck but i broke it so now i have to one fix it or two put a auto in it the price to rebuild and install is about $4000 so i was wondering the cost of the 47rh ??? the one with no computer control so it would be the easyist to put in so how much would a moderately built tranny be and the pros and cons

Putting an automatic in where a Standard was is a lot of work. Besides the tranny you will need a flywheel, cooler, cooler lines, linkage, driveshaft, crossmember, and probably a whole lot more.

I would try to find a good used or find a standard only rebuilder near you. You will probably come out cheaper in the long run staying with what you have.

i think the crossmember is the same the driveshaft the local place does them cheap IF its different cooler and lines are not a big deal and linkage i was thinking of a b&m gate shifter
