need quiet muffler
Maybe I'm getting old, but I having a hard time hearing my cell phone when Im pullng my gooseneck. I had a Magnaflow - too loud, got a HushPower - cut the noise in half but still too loud. I need a high flow muffler that will knock ALL the noise out. Ofcourse my stacks dont help this truck get any quieter.
Please help

A similar alternative. I went this route and have been satisfied. I went with the twister, but you can go with the fiberglass or baffle style muffler at the bottom.

My Donaldson M090535 5"x51" muffler is LOUD under load. Makes me wish for ear plugs when towing 10k+ at any rpm over 1800. It's making me consider an Aeroturbine 5050XL and a smog friendly device in front of it. I guess I'm getting old, but I want quiet too...

I had a Rokktech Silent Might muffler installed about a year and a half ago, and it provides nearly the same as stock noise level. There is slightly more turbo whistle, but inside the cab of the truck you can't tell that I have a high performance muffler. These mufflers are designed specifically for the 6 cylinder Cummins and are tuned to have less back-pressure than a straight pipe between 1600 and 2800 rpm. The muffler has an absolutely straight through unobstructed flow path with four small ports near the rear that open into tuned chambers. They have a web site if you want more info.

They do make a 4" as well, but for whatever reason I decided I wanted the 5" because it's supposed to be a deeper sound. Deep it is, aside from the "ffffffftt" sound the exhaust makes flowing through the pin holes in the chambers. I think an Aeroturbine or Shuttleworth with BIG louvers will sound a lot better...
