need for a pusher pump? Quik install?

I have been told, and I beleive I need a pusher fuel pump. At 300 hp and 618 torque-w-no fuel pressure guage I am wondering if I am costing myself more HP-w-my fuel in "syphon" mode. If most agree I need a pusher PLEASE offer the easiest mod so I can get it done prior to this weekend. Autozone??? (yuch)

If you will go over to the "Performance and Accessories, Ist
and 2nd Generation" you will find a thread on page #2
titled "Holley Blue Pump" which was started by "mooseman."
My son (banshee) and myself just spent alot of time over
there in that thread giving some instructions and photos
of how to install one of those systems. You can use either
a Holley Red or Holley Blue on your truck which should
keep your pressure up. Go over there and read our posts.

I would say you need a fuel pressure guage before a pump. You still never know if you have good fuel pressure reguardless if you put a better pump on.

Also to clear this up, our trucks already have a pusher pump on them, sounds like you are saying they don't. If you need more fuel you normaly take the stock pump off and replace it with something better.

I have fuel pressure on my X-Monitor and have never dropped pressure below 1.4psi with the EZ on level 4.

IMO 1.4 psi is not sufficient enough to properly feed the CP3 pump when bombing these engines. Several members here and on the TDR stated they see 0psi or a vaccuum with just the EZ box, and anything more than that is certainly asking for trouble. The stock lift pump is fine for stock power, but it can't keep up with any power additions. I started a thread about a month ago entitled "Pusher Pump Installed" in this section. It's holding up great so far.

Well I have been running my EZ on 4 for 26,000 miles now with no problems at all. The only time I can get it down that low is when pulling heavy on a long grade. Acording to everything I have found out on the CP3, as long as their is flow you a pretty much good to go, positive pressure means their is flow. It is not as pressure sensitive as the VP44 is.

I will keep running mine and what the PSI, if it get week I will do something then. Unless I add a Juice down the road
