Need new brake pads

Well i need new brake pads, i would like some that give me a little better stop then factory, and if i can get something without all of this brake dust i would be ecstatic, after 60 miles my rims are covered in that crap. Also if i can get these localy that would be a big plus!

Great question, as mine started squealing this week. I was just going to go buy whatever they carried at autozone, but if there is a suggested pad, I'd love to hear it.

I just swapped over to the "replacement" Mopars...that are 1/2 the price of the "original" Mopars...per the reccomendation of a Mopar parts guy. I got what i expected...yuck. More or the same dust...60% or the "orignals" price, but 60% of the performance.

Don't get those...I would say originals or something else..."better". I am all ears...cause my black rims turn brown in no time at all.

Hey guys... The best brake pads I have found yet are the new 4x4 EBC brakes.. 70% more stopping power, almost NO dust, and you will never have to replace your rotors. I've used them the last 8 times I've done brakes and have only replaced one set from a seized calliper. greatbrakes.com... have a look

Looking now. I hope they as good as the sound. Hate the dust.

I tried aftermarket brakes on the 03 and even the top of the line NAPA pads squeeled so badly that I had to take them off after just a couple thousand miles. The factory pads are the only ones that gave me no problems except for the brake dust. Kleen Wheels eliminated that problem and I never had any issues because of running them...
The 07, for some reason, does not have the brake dust problem. I wonder if they switched to a different kind of pad....

I installed EBC pads and their drilled & slotted rotors on front and back about 45k miles ago. They are awesome, definate improvement over stock.

This is what is posted on their website about the pads. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this, so if not.... Sorry Larry. I am going to order a set today, so I'll let everyone know what I think when they get here.

6000 Series 4x4 (SUV & Light Truck) Brakes

An excellent solution for 4x4 use, this heavy duty Greenstuff formulation has slightly lower friction than its 2000 series counterpart (average friction coefficient 0.45mm) but has the benefit of longer life and better resistance to offroad conditions of dust and sand etc. It has an extremely low rotor wear factor and medium-to-good lifetime.

7000 Series SUV Supreme - Click here to read a review of this product!

For a small price premium over the 6000 series these pads are
THE ULTIMATE SUV FRONT END PAD
These pads will stop faster and last longer with almost zero brake dust and are EBC's premium offering for heavy 4x4s. These pads are GUARANTEED noise free. Average friction coefficient 0.45mm.

The features and benefits of this new SUV Supreme Range include

Chamfered and slotted

Factory shimmed with triple layer Wolverine shims

Coated with friction accelerator for fast bed-in

The small amount of dust which is evident after thousands of miles of driving with SUV Supreme can be washed away with a simple sponge and water or in any car wash, it does not take aggressive scrubbing or cleaning of the wheels as is common with many semi metallic fibre based pads. Offering up to 90% dust reduction compared to most original and aftermarket pads, the small amount of powdered dust which does appear is simply washed away during a drive through car wash. EBC SUV Supreme pads do not include any steel fibre or ferrous elements and therefore none of the dust etches or adheres to wheel alloys and gone are the days when SUV Supreme pad users will be spending Sunday mornings scrubbing alloy wheels clean.
