Red face need a little clarification

Okay I am just getting started in this amazing world of diesel truck performance. I wanted to know where to place 1) the pyrometer sensor for the guage on a diesel, and 2) where do I put the sensor for the boost guage?
I know that you would want to worry about a boost guage with an aftermarket turbo but is it advisable for a stock turbo? I would just like to know how to do it to help me better form a game plan for some upgrades, I have an 04 2500 H.O with a 6 speed and I haven't done anything to it yet because of deployments overseas and the like but when I get home I want to throw an exhaust and an intake on it, anyway just wondering about the pyrometer. any tips or help would be useful I am trying to learn as I go. thanks.

Gauges are great...even with a bone stock truck.

Pyro should be pre-turbo (in the exhaust manifold). Boost sensor should be in the intake manifold. You can buy a "boost bolt" from Geno's or Diesel Manor that replaces one of the stock intake bolts and has a location for the boost sensor.

Do a search for both and you'll find hours of reading and tons of really good pics.
