Need an intake solution
So I bought my truck with an aFe stage I intake in it already. The filter is junk and letting way too many dirt particles through. I'm having a little trouble finding a stock airbox to switch back to so I've been looking at other air filter replacements. S&B advertises their filters as being super efficient and that they are tested to ISO standards. Are these anywhere near as efficient as the stock filter?

the stock airbox for the 6.7 will fit the 03 you can get them here cheap, add a psm kit to it and you have the best. we changed all of ours out so we could get the 4" filter. about the time we converted out the last one they came out with one that would fit the 5.9 box

That's what he's saying. A couple years back they made the filters all have 4" pleats.
Here's a pic of the new filter. http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....=AF-53034249AA
For comparison, here's the old filter. http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=AF-26106
When they came out with the 4" pleated filter I got one, they're great.
I've got the 4" filter, a hole in the bottom of the intake box with tubing that leads down out of the engine bay (like the PSM intake). I used to have one of the PSM cool tubes but I honestly felt a power loss, this was likely due to the vanes being eliminated in the bottom elbow of the intake. I put the stock intake back in with an AFE replacement intake tube.
