Need help understanding a fuel upgrades

I plugged in "Fass/Dodge" on e-bay. There are Fass fuel pumps that are for $425. You read the ad and it says it does all these great things that will happen (<< http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FASS-...spagenameZWDVW >>). What would be good about me getting one of these? I am just thinking of my next upgrade and want to understand fuel upgrades for daily drivers.

Thanx.

You can do a search on this site for "lift pump" ( pumps fuel from the tank ) and "cp3" ( pressurizes the fuel and sends it to the injector rail ). The FASS system and the GDP system are lift pumps. You only need one if the stock system isn't supplying enough fuel to the cp3 to meet the demands that your performance boxes are requiring.

the glacier system comes with a 2micron spin on filter. you can use your factory filter to catch the large chunks, and the 2 mic one will really clean it good for you. that way, your 2 mic lasts alot longer since it is only catching about 10% of the muck.

Thanx Zilla. The 2 micron goes before the factory one, right?

nope. tank, pump, factory filter, glacier filter, cp3.
you want the 10 micron(factory) to catch the big stuff, then the 2 mic to get everything from 9 mic to 2mic.

if you run the 2 first, it will clog WAY fast, and the 10 will be brand new all the time.

Cool, that seemd totally out of sorts to have the small filter first. Now I know.

Thanx.
