Need help. r&p gear, Afe pro guard 7 disapointment
I just installed a afe mega cannon intake with the big pro guard7 wet filter and its sucking down my filter minder at hard accelaration. my truck has a noticeable long lasting bog as iam taking off from a stop it didn't usually do that before. There's something wrong here. My buddy told me I need to change r&p gearing for 35" tires. Is this true, it has 43k miles 6spd 07 4x4 how do I find out what gears are on the truck?

Believe the gears are on the door edge or glove box label...
Shouldnt be sucking down the filter minder at all, so agree something wrong....clean / verify the mount of the sensor that goes on the air intake tube....make sure it doesnt have oil on it....can cause erratic readings / ecm input....

At 35" are borderline on needing 4.10 IMHO, others will disagree...but the diff between stock 265's and 35" is pretty large for 3.73....

I looked on the door and there's nothing, my glove box doesn't have a label. As zoo as I get a good day off work I will take a video and post it on filter minder and pro guard. Is there a chance it may have 4.10 on it?

If it doesn't have the 4.10s I wouldn't switch too them. The g56 is already geared really low. I have 3.73s in mine, and its still over 2000 rpms at 75 on the hwy. 4.10s would be really low.

I don't think you can even order a manual trans with 4.10's. That was only for auto's, & mostly in Calif. As for the filter minder. Don't trust it. I'd pull it, & see what it's doing with a vacuum tester before I got all worried.

My filter minder has always pulled down with my Mac intake with an Amsoil nano filter.I know its not from lack of air flow.I really think it has to do with where and how its mounted on the aftermarket intake tube.My friend runs an AEM brute force and it has a 2" stem the filter minder goes in spacing it up away from the tube and his does not pull down.

Sorry, didnt notice you had a 6spd.....in that case ignore my 4.10's comment....i was thinking auto.
I have the drop in truflow filter...doesnt pull down the filter minder (even before psm addition) or after the aftermarket turbo was added.

It usually doesn't suck down, unless I take off haulin it from a stop. The minder is about 6" from turbo facing the turbo. I still dont know what may be causin the boggin power loss. I guess it may just be time for smarty, I really hate to do that tho.
