need help with egts

Exclamation need help with egts

i have a 04 cummins predator tuner 90hp injectors head studs full billet ats trans ats trans controller 5'' turbo back fas 150 fuel system, cold air intake

but heres my problem im hitting 1600-1700 egts when i lay into my truck on extreme mode i know i need to junk that stock turbo but do i have any other options first

Do you have a 04 or 04.5? thats a lot for a 03/04 turbo to take...

First, do NOT do that again! You may have already trashed your motor. You have no business with 90hp stix and a tuner with the stock turbo... especially that stock turbo. With the 03-04 engines, they have weak pressed in valve seats that are prone to drop out and trash a whole motor with egts sustained over 1400. As high as you were, you may have even melted pistons. You may not even see symptoms of this for a while before it lets go. You may have gotten lucky though...

Sorry to scold you like that, but someone has to throw the cold water on your head before you ruin your engine if you have not done so already. You are really playing with fire. literally.

Just to put things in perspective, you have fueling potential that is twice the HP your turbo can support. You need a turbo before anything else.
