Need Advice for Upgrades

Based on my signature, I'm not really to sure whats the next upgrade to add that supports my setup. Ultimately I want a good towing machine, hopefully between 500-550hp, I don't get into boosted launches, racing or sled pulling. The truck is considered a daily driver, but I want something that is fun to drive as well. I'm open to all opinions....thanks...

I think the turbo he has would be sufficient for 500 h.p.

How about some Flux 1 injectors?

Yep I've been looking at those Flux 1's, they look like a good upgrade, but what about fueling with the Flux 1's? For what I'm asking would the stock cp3 handle things?

I think the stock cp3 will be fine. The stock lift pump probably couldn't keep up, but looks like you already have that covered.

Maybe you should hit the dyno first. Seems to me you ought to be about 500hp right now.

Actually I did hit the dyno already before I installed the HTB2, I was at 430hp/862 running the Diablo Puc/Predator Stack (Extreme mode non rkl). I like the Triple Dog better but I don't feel the same HP from it, I'm hoping they come up with some more pressure.

Your welcome! Wish I had the money 'cause I'd get your turbo and a set of Flux 1 injectors. Those are going to be my final power enhancing mods.

I have to say I do like this turbo, after reading a whole lot and talking to a guy in my area here, he said he's tried a few different turbo's but went back to the HTB2, it spooled the best and was a good pulling turbo...

Yep running the Crazy Larry now, with low end turned on, I noticed in the mid to high range things kind of flattened out under full throttle (60-80mph), so I turn TM of and that seemed to take care of that. I'm just a little nervous to run with no TM all the time.

A dual feed line And an mp-8 will get you to your mark and will bee good fueling for towing. That 62-12 you have will definatly get hot thow. I would look into getting getting a 62-14 or 62-13ss because high tech will take care of you. Keep in mind that around 500-550hp the cooling system starts to have a hard time keeping up. My turbo actually works great for towing and never really gets hot.

What you need,... IMO

1) A SMARTY BETA or equivalent power (I like the 4.2 best)

2) Lose your lift pump and get a Mitusa, FASS or GDP.

3) Lose your turbo for upgade to a 64/71/13 SS

4) Get a quality intake

5) Your stock cp3 will get you there fine.

That will put you at the top end of your goal and you'll be able to tow like crazy.
