Need advice on the 325hp cummins
I have recently switched from my 03' 7.3L ford to an 04' 325hp cummins, auto, 2500 std cab long bed 4x4. I have done exhaust and wheels and tires and I am looking at my first performance mod. Fuel box or downloader. I pretty much know to stay away from banks, but I'm looking for a fairly agressive tuner. I don't want to roast my trans so I'm kinda in the dark on the cummins. I want something like the commander, PDA, or attitude monitor instead of many mechanical gauges. I don't do much pulling other than my boat and jet-ski's. Please help.

not much,, depending on how you drive, I take it pretty easy and got allmost 100k km out of mine with about 350 rwhp. What ended up killing mine was pulling a 13k 5th wheel.

I have a friend with an 05 Harley Davidson edition 6.0 w/ the juice w/ A2 monitor. I liked it on his, I was wondering about the Bully dog triple dog w/ outlook. They claim more HP then Edge. I like a little smoke for breakfast. But not too much. Basically I'm looking for the most HP the stock tranny can handle. 8 lug magazine did a build up on am 05 an they said it much more than 350 HP would roast it real nice. Stock they dynoed (spelling?) it at 271RWHP I think.

if you go with too much hp you will have toast with your smoke,, if you know what I mean, toasted tranny.I would not go over 100 extra hp with the stock tranny, and even at that you will have to have some ammount of self restraint

with the juice you should dyno at around 390ish rwhp, real nice kick in the pants,, there was one that dyno'd in edmonton at the last dyno day, edge juice, intake and exhaust and he hit 421 on a mustang dyno. I hit 348 with a cooked tranny and a bullydog power pup.

I run the Bully Dog on my '06 and really like it. I have had it on there for about 3 months now and just this past week decided to try the Extreme setting. It pulls nice, Ill say that. I dont drive like a maniac, but leaving the dump on Friday I did a nice drift on the exit road. It was sweet!

Thanks guys, I have more of an idea now what I want. Bully Dog, Edge, or Smarty. What the heck is a smarty? I have never even heard of them until I found this place. Any idea on how much HP the smarty will give me? I live in Webster County about 20 miles south of Henderson. I do however, plan on installing an aftermarket transmission pan and TC. I really like the Edge, but this smarty box has got me curious. Can you use it with a commander, or attitude style gauge system? That in my case is a must. I hate the look of guages all over a truck. Plus I can read and clear diagnostics and adjust almost everything with the Edge system.

The monitors can be used with Smarty, no problem at all.
Anyway, from what I've gathered, the Attitude seems to have problems when stacked with any other power adder. If you decide Smarty is the right toy for you...
