Yea the straight pipe gets terrible. I had mine all summer until I towed 11,000lbs through stop and go traffic for a day. Made me really want to go back to a muffler atleast, it was unbearable for sure. Ended up going back to stock still haven't found a good balance between the two.
I like the sound better without the muffler for sure.

Forgot to update this thread...
The muffler made the trip great, since I was about 18k CGVW going across the country. I left the muffler on for about 2 weeks, then the straight pipe went back on.
To be honest, if that muffler was about half the size, I think I'd keep it on. Really smooths things out.
Still love the straight pipe
