Sounds like typical stuff to me.
I heard a new one today. "yea, my friend has a BAD cummins!" I asked oh really? whats on it? "Man, he's got 5 inch exhaust and the turbo right under the turbo where you have to sign the release waiver!" I laughed. I asked more about the truck...."oh its an 01. It runs like 12's!!!" I laughed very hard. I told kid his "friend" is full of it and he should come hangout with the local diesel club. He started doubting me til I showed a dyno graph of 580hp to the rear wheels last weekend!

It's funny what people think they're putting to the ground. When I had my 99 powerstroke, I swore I had close to 400 to the ground. I just had exhaust and a TS chip....I finally saw that most 7.3's put down about 320 +/- compared to my laughable 400 I thought I had. I never dyno'd it. A guy I know has an 01 with a superchip. I heard him talking to a buddy of ours one day talking about how fast it was and that "it's gotta be about 400 hp" and I promptly stepped in and told him he'd be lucky to see 300 to the wheels. The best way to show your friend that he's been drinking too much bong water is to bet him on a dyno.....I would say whoever guesses closest to their average of 3 pulls gets their time paid for by the loser.

haha thats how I met "bigTXdually." He was talking trash saying he was gonna kill my 579hp number. He pulls up and does 84hp. He has the dyno graph to prove it. I have a dyno sheet in front of me right now that says -412hp
